Si Fa Si La....chantez!

Yes, yes, yessssss! Hell no, it's got nothing to do with my special friend Heino. Should he finally want to see me next Wednesday, I'm afraid I will have to say "so sorry, I'm not available that evening and will be busy every other Wednesday too". It's not that I would have to mix business with pleasure, in this particular case, I would simply have to choose among two dreams come true at last.

So Heino can wait a bit longer, or should I say I can wait for him a bit longer... I'm so used to it, anyway. I would rather join a club of new friends, they are fifteen all in all and I already met more than half of them tonight. They are such nice persons and we liked each other at once, so much that I didn't feel a stranger at all, I was a newcomer that fitted in immediately.

"Si fa si la... chantez", well... in fact it's not si facile de chanter, I mean it's not that easy to sing and I will never be a diva like Maria Callas but I love singing as much as she did, with all my heart and soul, that is. My first rehearsal went pretty fine and I have just become a member of the choir. This is a memorable day, and I'm soooooo happy!

What about you out there, what does your voice sound like? Are you soprano, alto, tenor, bass, a baryton perhaps? Alto as far as I'm concerned and to begin with, not to mention that I still have to get attuned to reading music again... Thinking that music is the international language, it is certainly worth the effort, isn't it?

I am the worst singer you will ever hear. OK, second worst BF just beats me to the post which is very strange considering the boy plays 13 instruments yet cannot sing a note.

I like to listen though.

Congratz, very pleased you have settled in so quickly and hope that that boy makes up his mind to ask you out soon - if only so you can say "Actually, you know what, tonight I'm busy" (and then run after him naming a list of all the hours in the week you ARE free).

My voice is ok but I was lead singer in a rock band. Closest to anything you might have heard would be Kelly, lead singer of the Stereophonics.

Have fun with your Wednesday social - I shall busy myself knitting you a Gothic spell to bewitch the boy

Mmm Kelly Jones. . .I love his voice!

Goth, lets make a plan to get the lady with her man!

Thanks DQ & Goth Master, not only am I extremely pleased to be given the opportunity to sing (and I will be doing so in public soon enough) but I also have new friends to meet once a week, this is won-der-ful.

BF plays 13 instruments, thirteen?! Oh my, that's a lot, I wonder what they can be! We could well make a Brussels Bloggers Band here, the "BBB". We do have the lead singer & guitarist, the multi-musician and the chorus, let alone the Claudettes. C'mon DQ, you can't be that bad at singing, besides, a Gothic spell could also 'fix' your voice.

On the air today, among others: Stereophonics, especially for DQ and Master Hendrix, especially for Goth boy. *they should inspire you while making a plan for me, merci*

Honestly M, I cannot sing and I don't have a musical bone in my body. I’m more of an artist, I paint, I draw. . .but probably not too well either.

I could be a groupie, I do groupiness so well.

As for BFs musical instruments, I forget them all but something like the guitar, bass guitar, drums, viola, violin, sax, cornet, trumpet, clarinet, piano. . . and then we get into Irish instrument territory – which I guess are real instruments but I won’t let him count ‘the spoons’.

The guitar is his one true love (apart from me that is).

I like that you have put a song up there for me – it’s like my own private dedication. Will you DJ at my wedding?

Goth Boy, thinking cap on. . .lets not fail the lady.

Aha...now you're making progress, taking wedding into serious consideration! Of course I will be there, singing, dancing, DJing and using the spoons for the Irish repertoire I like so much and to eat a piece of your wedding cake.

"La groupie du pianiste" will be my next dedication. I'll take care of that tonight and will send you the lyrics so you can sing along (en français bien sûr!).
Back to work now... Bisous xx

Brilliant idea, Goth Master, Mr Tambourine Man is on.
