Don’t get me wrong... I was not trying hard to remember what exactly happened. Whith a broad smile, I was reviving the party from the beginning to the end, or should I say until the moment I left this morning, because it was not quite over yet when I decided it was about time to go home.
No unnecessary details revealed here, just plenty of wonderful souvenirs to keep to myself, which will definitely make me smile whenever I remember that great bash. One of the highlights was the rather short but outstanding opening address delivered by our host, after which we all raised a glass to Love and Friendship.
Another one was getting to know new friends better and making the acquaintance of lovely people such as, to name but a few, la petite fée Clochette, a nice bloke wearing extraordinary shoes and a permanent smile, a truly nice person called Joe -a totally unsuspected reader of mine to whom I dedicate this post- and last but not least, a man who took me to the moon and back.

Hello Minky. Lovely to see you again. You are a breakfast chef extrordinaire! See you soon.

My pleasure, Vida. As I said, another highlight was getting to know new friends better. Yes, yes, yes, see you very soon indeed! xxx
Minky, if I may call you that, you certainly don't seem to me to be the partying type. I'm always surprised to read that you have been to what appears to be a wild party and really enjoyed it. Could you perhaps be like the woman down the road who owns a used paperback book store, has muscular arms and multiple piercings and whom I have overhead discuss her barroom brawls in which she was victorious?
Of course you may, Elaine, I must say I owe that name to a very special Gothfather.
That's right, I'm not exactly the partying type and I'm full of surprises. I will either sit alone in a corner or chat to everyone, it depends on my mood or the atmosphere. Truth is I enjoyed this one very very very much.
But multiple piercings, me? No way!!
You're a sweetie. Sorry I didn't awake in time for breakfast. x
Who knows, Tippler, you might wake up in time next year. Apparently, it is true, your parties are always great. Thank you for inviting me, I had such a goooood time. xxx
