“Silences make the real

conversations between friends.

Not the saying but the never needing

to say is what counts.”

If I don't speak for a while people think I'm scheme-ing something.

Discussing / talking / communicating is extremely important. When you're silent, others might indeed think you're sulked or 'scheme-ing something', as you say. I'd rather say you appreciate the sound of silence, like I do. Although I say I can't shut up, I can remain speechless for hours, just listening. I don't have many friends but I can sit with them without feeling the need to say anything whatsoever. We then breathe together and understand each other without needing to utter a single word. Of course, the same can happen between lovers, supposing lovers are friends, first of all.

That's true intimacy when you don't feel the need to speak and in fact a lot of the time you are speaking silently. Its weird but it is so.

Did.

Oh merci infiniment, Did :-))
Contagieux et réciproque!

You're right, Pat, it is weird but true. Smiling says it all too, like Crabtree was just commenting oh so poetically.
