I was supposed to be enjoying a boat & bike ride in Brussels today but my brother's plan "fell in the water", as we say in French. In other words, our Sunday cruise with Rivertours.be was cancelled, or just postponed if you prefer. Brussels by Waters was advertised everywhere lately, and with such a lovely weather we're having these days, I'm not surprised there were not enough bikes left to rent.
My brother's family and his friends have an alternative already, they are going to watch a rugby match in Boistfort. So what else is new... and I shouldn't have written "his family AND his friend" but rather is huge family, because that's what they are, all members of a same clan. Have you clicked on that link yet? See the one behind the coach in that vets' team? Well, he's my 45 year old brother. Years ago, he used to drag me to the La Hulpe field (oh, there he is again, on the far right, sporting another tartan this time).
I'm not at all complaining, actually. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed very much being taken along, it was a pleasure being a pom pom girl and having a drink altogether in the club house, what they call la troisième mi-temps. Now you understand why Daphne's post brought cheerful memories to me and why I can't help watching that Gods calendar over and over again.
Anyway, staying home suits me fine after all, because I have to get ready for a concert tonight. Before waxing my upper lip and ironing my black & red outfit, I need to rehearse the six songs we shall be singing tonight. Five at the opening, a cappella, and one at the closing, with the piano. Yep, my little choir is performing tonight, and on next Tuesday too. Oh no, I'm not at all stressed... It won't be my first public performance. Haven't you seen me fooling around before?
These fellow singers are damn good... and twice as many as we are.
Enjoy. As for me, I'd better warm my voice up...

J’ai la version , 1934 . The battle of Jericho -
The Golden Gate Quartet , negro spiritual et gospel.
Extraordinaire !!
Ma passion musicale
I'm convinced you're developing an obsession with rugby blokes.....
Good luck.
Sg - one doesn't develop an obsession. It occurrs as soon as one starts meeting them.
I repeat - fwooooooaaaaaaargh.
Thanks Marianne, all went well as you just read further up. I repeat it too... fwooooooaaaaaaargh.
Goth Master, it's just a passion.
"just a passion"? that's very blasé view of passion.
but before that, hmmmm... a woman of talent as well as other stuff.
JJ, that compliment of yours made my day, thank you so much.
I meant 'it is rather a passion'. I assure you, no blasé attitude about it.
Mais c’est Sister act ! Je rate surement quelque chose !!!!
A très bientôt.
Will your bro's team be doing a nude calendar next year? They could call it "Les Vieux du Stade" !
Looks like a nice boy:)
good luck. . .
The weather in Majorca was totally crap.
DO NOT tell me it was beautiful in Belgium
Bit worried about your brother, years ago, dragging you to La Hulpe field.
Is that a Greek custom.
Or was it just a game of 'Doctors and Nurses'?
