25η Μαρτίου

While the European Union was celebrating its

50th anniversary this 25 March,

Greece was celebrating its Independence Day.

Kilts, blue and white flags...

Mmmh.... where have I seen those before?

A sponsored hopping competition? How quaint.....

Goth Master, just admire the synchronous "hopping". These are the famous Evzones of the Presidential Guard.

Mind you, there was also hopping all over the US as well.

Et dire qu’en France les jeunes filles doivent toucher le pompon rouge des marins sur leur bob, signe de porte bonheur !
Comment les jeunes filles en Grèce, font-elles avec de si gros pompons noirs ?

Hopping? Hopping bloody mad to let Bush get involved. Good job there's no oil in Greece otherwise they'd be invaded before you could say taramasalata

Pompon blanc elle attend, pompon rouge elle bouge, pompon noir … ??

Pompon noir... elle se marre?

Goth Master, we do have olive oil though and an interesting geographical position, so they've always been *ahem* "our friends".

Oil? Did someone mention oil? Is there a country we haven't invaded yet?

Mischa Auer used to look so sweet in that dress!

I thought there were holes in the Evzone layer

Bwahahaha... that's a good one, Kissme!

Pat, I had never heard of Mischa before, was he wearing it in one of his many films? I think any man would look sweet wearing a fustanella (or a kilt). Maybe the time has come for them to wear skirts. We women wear trousers, don't we?

I'm all for the kilts (chitons?). You can see their nice muscular manly legs. Fwoooargh.

Admittedly the pompoms are a bit distracting.
