What's another year

This is not my boss hiding under the desk and this is not me. I'm not blonde, not even a fake one. I don't wear glasses yet nor do I usually wear dresses and skirts. But I shamelessly admit to have been in this very interesting position yesterday.

I signed a legally binding piece of paper. Another one year contract, which means twelve more months to spend working in Brussels, in such an enjoyable multicultural environment.

You don't know much about me yet, do you?

Stay tuned, I am just about to tell you more...

Very little M, considering you know so MUCH about me. . .

I know, dear DQ, there's a lot of catching up to do and I don't know where exactly to start from...

A very good place to start

When you sing you begin with do-re-mi"

The very beginning? That would be my birth place. Not a terrific one but it has some nice spots. Ok then, I will start with Α-Β-Γ... But not right away, I intend to turn in early tonight, it's been a tiring blogging week.

Back in blighty, I suppose. What's the weather like over there, Lynx?

Good! I'm all ears! I just wish there was an easy way of saying mkwm!

Hi Pat, just say M, it's shorter!

And all ears for the Greek music as well, you should like it so I'll let it on air the whole week-end just for you.

I haven't paid you a single visit lately, days are too short I'm afraid but thank God it's Friday so I'll do some catching up with you too during the week-end.

Thanks M I loved the music. Takes the chill off a little. All I want is the Greek sun, sea, red mullet, greek salad and a bottle of village wine.

All that sitting on a table, with your bare feet in the warm water... priceless!

You'd like the music even more if only you could understand the lyrics. The top second song is a very famous one: in fact one of the poems from "Axion Esti", by Odysseus Elitis (1911-1996) winner of the 1979 Nobel prize for literature. Elitis combined with Mikis Theodorakis' music, there you go, I can't think of anything better to take the chill off!

There are also a couple of splendid love songs up there that make me shiver, I must admit that language is a beautiful one... and I miss the Greek sun very much too.

The weather at the weekend was actually very good; sunny and quite warm during the day, but cold at night. Much better than it was here in Belgium today.

I can't say that Greek music does much for me, but the sound of music is better than the sound of silence.

The week-end was very good here too, and I bet it was also cold in England today.

Of course not, Greek music can't possibly be your cup of tea. What would please you, Lynx? Just name it...
